We are delighted to offer our first retreat at the magical Mar de Jade in Chacala, Mexico, a small and relatively undeveloped Mexican fishing village about 90 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta.

During this week, we will luxuriate in a sometimes slow and deep, sometimes wild and passionate movement inquiry into the longing at the core of our being, the longing for Spirit as the true Beloved of the soul.
Soul Motion opens a portal to a direct experience of this longing and at the same time, offers a promise of its fulfillment. According to some spiritual traditions, every instant of such direct contact with life can be recognized as the kiss of the Beloved, no matter what experience it brings: wonder, delight, ache, sorrow, or bliss.

Tucked between the jungle and the sea, the beach-front dance space has a beautiful sprung floor and picture windows looking out on the Pacific Ocean. We will meet in the mornings and late afternoons or evenings, and for sure, leave time to enjoy the pristine beach, whale watching, snorkeling, or any other eco-excursions you desire. Under such circumstances, who wouldn’t open to the Kiss?

ABOUT THE PLACE: “A combination vacation spot, spiritual retreat, and community immersion experience on the Pacific Coast. Brightened by bougainvillea and banana trees, Mar de Jade has plenty of charm, but I was more intrigued by its sanctuary-like seclusion, its hidden tropical aura. The village of Chacala has a half-mile-long sweep of palm fringed sand protected by a small bay. At the southern tip end is Mar de Jade, so close to the water that it looks as if a strong wind might blow it out to sea.” – Nick Gallo, Hemisphere United Airlines Magazine, August 2005.

Come, come whoever you are,
wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come though if you have broken your vows a thousand times,
Come, yet again, come. ––Rumi
